I took my N85 to take it through its paces.

I was able to get great video (about 10 videos) of his first time in the pool and walking around Magic Kingdom.

I took tons of great photos (~80) of his first time being at the zoo, animal kingdom ride, Mickey and Minnie adventures, AND at Space Mountain!

We decided to go out to Cape Canaveral and see the Space Shuttle. The road was pretty bland and I didn't know the stations in the rental car. We used the FM transmitter to play some decent tunes through the radio, Google Maps to find our way through the back roads of swampy Florida, and used Qik to stream the experience to our family and friends.

When all was said and done, I was able to upload the pics via Share Online to Flickr as the trip went on so moms back home could share in the experience. Truly an awesome phone.

Re: Tell Us Why S60 Rocks and Win Some Music Downloads

Nice story!

Re: Tell Us Why S60 Rocks and Win Some Music Downloads

Walking home from school one day, I bumped into an older man who walked around with an old note pad and pencil. He seemed lost so when I stopped at the crosswalk, he approached me for directions to a Radio Shack nearby. I didn't know where one was but I told him I could find out. I took out my E71-2 and easily and quickly loaded up Google Maps. He asked me what I needed with my phone when he was asking for directions. I showed him turn-by-turn the nearest Radio Shack (3 blocks away) and he was shocked and wrote everything down into his notepad. He thanked me continuously and apologized if he could also ask me for a nearby FedEx as well. A minute later he got his directions. Smiling, he asked if there was anything he could get for me. I told him it was okay and that I was on my way home. He had nice teeth for an old man; thanks S60.

Re: NYC - May S60 User Meetup

Man, I had no idea Nokia had their flagship store in New York! I was just in NYC last week for an absinthe tasting event, and I would've made time if I had read about this earlier!

There are still a few things I'd like to check out regarding the N97, but I will likely pre-order it soon.

Re: About

The analog slide on the N97 is VERY SOLID. Impressive actually. As for the other stuff you should check out the S60 section of www.howardforums.com Lots of discussions on those very topics.

Re: About

WOW, Thanks! that's awesome, thanks. I am curious about the performance and difference between the E75 and the E71's. For the N97, I wanted to experience the UI and I am curious about the durability of the angled slide. As far as Symbian, I am mostly looking for education on how to use it more efficiently, some tricks, best websites to go to, etc.

Re: About

What sort of info would you like to know. I am on my 3rd Nokia and love then, but never got too into the os and what my phones can do until recently. If you or anyone could levy some insight first between the E75 and the E71/E71X (I'm ATT), and then the N97. I would be greatley apprecciative.

Re: About

hello guys, I was wondering how I can host a group in Miami, FL. its seems you the major cities are covered and Miami might be a great place to have meeting and I would not mind organizing the group down here, I host www.nokiamobiletalk.com and you can email me at: mobilegeorge(at)nokiamobiletalk.com

Thanks guys, I look forward to hearing from you,
Jorge aka Mobile George
